Rabbit Hunting

Any one ever try hunting bunnies with their bow?? My hunting partner and I have been out a couple times. Flushed 5 and got one shot the last time we went. The fella I hunt with has gotten 2 so far. We don't take running shots just hope they stop. Sure is good practice for using your bow.
 
 
  On a side note (sure is bad when you hijack your own thread)lol..We had an excellent day of seeing and identifying animal tracks. These are the critters whose tracks we saw.
1.deer
2.rabbit
3.squirrel
4.turkey
5.fox
6.coyote
7.mink (huge mink track)
8.Grouse

    after i shot a squirrel's neck off yesterday with a bow, we talked about hunting small game with a bow. i'll let you know next week how it turns out

    You guys are better hunters than me. When I was in college I did use a .22 revolver for rabbits. I was hunting in Edinboro, late season. There was always at least 3 feet of snow. It was much more fun than using a shotgun. One time my brother tried using his bow for rabbits. He missed 2 and went back to the car for his shotgun. My buddy and I both limited out before he even hit one. Didn't help we were laughing our****off at his frustration. Hard to believe that was about 16 years ago!!!

    although we didnt get any  bunnys we had a good hunt last night, no dog and we had kicked 9 rabbits and 2 pheasants. one pheasant is currently in my freezer waiting for the smoker
