mouth of trout question.

hello guys.  new to the forum.  ive been fishing steel for about 2 years now.  usually just raccoon, crooked, elk, and upper 20 mi.  i just started fishing the mouth of trout run last year.  my question is, can you fish the lake as at night as long as you are 50 yards away from the mouth?  i was a bit confused with the signs posted there.  but i read them as if you were at least 50 yards from the mouth you could.  and you can fish at the mouth from 530am-10pm?  and are you allowed to park in the lot at night?  thanks in advance!  looking forwards to future posts!

From what I gather that the way it works 50 yds from the mouth and you're good. As far as parking at night, that may vary depending on location and where you park.

I was referring to the lot at the end of trout run rd. I was just wondering because I've never seen anyone else night fish there and as soon as 6am'ish it gets filled up. Thanks for the info Dakota!

It sounds like your good at night fishing the lake as long as you stay more than 50 yards away from the mouth.  From the PFBC's web site:  http://fishandboat.com/fi..b/summary/lakeerie.html

    Special Regulations—Lake Erie Tributary Streams
    • Designated as Nursery Waters are Trout Run and its tributaries, Godfrey Run, Orchard Beach Run, and Crooked Creek (where posted). It is unlawful to fish, wade or possess fishing equipment while in or along Lake Erie tributary streams designated as Nursery Waters.
    • Archery fishing or spear fishing is prohibited in or along Lake Erie tributary streams.
    • From September 4 until the opening day of trout season in April, all Lake Erie tributary streams are closed to fishing from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following day except for Walnut Creek north of Manchester Bridge Road and Elk Creek north of Route 5.
    • It is unlawful to fish from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following day within 50 yards of the mouth of both Trout Run and Godfrey Run while fishing the Lake Erie shoreline.
