No wading at Walnut Access

If you haven't noticed it before there is a small sign on a busy bulletin board just off the parking lot at Walnut Access Area that says "No wading ... from this point north". That point would be at the bottom of the stop sign hole. This is the only sign I saw and it is easily overlooked.  I take it to mean that you aren't allowed in the water anywhere downstream from the stop sign hole. I think a lot of fishermen aren't aware of that.

Yes. You can wade both sides of the creek at the Stop Sign hole.

I was just at the Stop Sign hole 10 minutes ago. I was speaking with WCO Edwards and watched him tear down the sign, fold it up and put it in his pocket. He said that it was confusing people, you are allowed to wade on the west side down to the first bend across from the wall.

Glad to hear it. Guess I was one of the confused ones. I've fished there for years with no problems but there was a "heated discussion" about the issue down at the creek this weekend.

There was a discussion as well today. I wasn't fishing, just standing there and the WCO was there and someone asked if it was ok to fish, then what about the sign. So he took the sign down.

Fish comissionors told me as well that you are allowed to fish the west side, the sign is intended for the wall down to the lake.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.
