Wednesday and thursday
In the mid section as usual, yesterday got in there by 450am not a sole to be seen all day long and the fish came steady till we left around 1. Went 6 for 15 with 2 nice hoes and 4 very dark kings, one male started milting when I beached him and both hoes were hens with eggs very loose in the skien, not dropping yet but very loose. First fish of the day "WOULD" have been the first piece of steel for the season but my young fishing partner choose to assult the fish with the net rather than scoop it out of the river 3 stabs and gone. Started the morning swinging buggers for half an hour with no strikes and switched to an white eztaz pattern and on second cast hit the steel and 10 minute after him the first hoe. Fished that till sun hit the whole area then switched back to buggers in usual colors. Today was much different, had a county snowmobile meeting that lasted till 10 so didnt get to sllep till 11 and when my alarm went off at 2am there was no way. Slept till 5 and was in my spot by 7 still knowbody around, started with the eztaz early again and was quickly on to a screamer that took be down and around the bend before popping off, back up and 10 or so later a male king about 10lbs gets beached and then it got real quiet for an hour or so. Saw a few people come out of the woods cast for 10 minutes and move along than about 1030 started seeing ones and twos coming by steadier. Went 4 for 10 on kings never saw a hoe go past when I could see. Haveing a blast all alone and I see two fresher fish come into the hold below me, swing my orange and yellow bugger at them 3 time before the fish on the right side smashes it! Great fight for 10 minutes or so and the fish is 10 feet from me beaching it and makes one more run and explodes my rod, Im holding the butt section and managed to land the hog, took a bunc of pics with the 2 pieces of rod on the fish and revived it and let it go. Awsume day, tomorrow fishing with a guy from work hes a greenhorn and is gonna have a blast. I take pics of every fish gonna try to attach one to this and see how it goes. Tight lines.
