what the dickens

it was the best of times it was the worst of times.
ok that may have been a little overly dramactic.
it does describe my 2 day salmon trip.
tuesday fish were everywhere constantly 20 to 100 in site at all times. fish jockying for postion and and bitey as heck.
today 1 fish hooked.
fish still moving through but not as mant and jawlocked they were.
body bumps were a regular occurence but grabs were not.
lots of fresh kings but a larger %age were darker a beat looking.
the part of the ball that came in but stayed in the estuary til now?
the bulk of the wild fish now done?
they just decided it was time to run with the breath of fresh water today?
get after it.
even a noob caught some.

    twobob,
One thing you should learn here :

Here is a really, REALLY, REALLY ,BAD pic of one lake fish that was boated 2 weeks ago (maybe, seems forever)..

come on now, give up the goods ..
Since the fish locked up does that mean there are some left for me now ??
Will they be all grabby and hot with ho's next week ?
Maybe the water got some trouts attention too ?

Questions, question... I'm only thankful enough to read your guys adventures..

    Right on Folks !!

yes the river will be choked full of grabby coho very soon.
hopefuly they will be so thick they have to get out and take the walking path.
thank goodness i still have 2 weeks before deadline for posting the pic.
i tried to post from mickey's this morning.
wrote a novella put in the pic and when i hit post message internets disappeared.
my bad for using arbie's webs from the competitors parking lot.
not much of a picture but i'll work on it.

Jack, somehow I think the Captain's Mate was rolling pretty good as on that friday the lake was glass..
Now Sat there was 3 footers on way out with rods popping and 5's on way in. The Mate was very "green" as she was almost to tears..
Your right , that pic makes me queasy also..
    Sorry twobob...
The countdown has begun.. 13 days left.. LMAO..

A Tale of Two  Bob's. Cool.  Personally, I have Great Expectations.
I'll enjoy the novella with the pics if you rewrite it. Thanks for the report as is.  I'll call you on the hyperbole. Landing one,  ain't the worst of times for hacks like me. Oh please, please, please hang on a little more....

yeah, I remember my first trip for a week alone roughing it in pulaksi. right after I got my license. Something crazy happened to me after busting off my first few kings in the estuary using 25lb stren my 300 garcia and my first ugly stik.. I actually started out with 12 lb stren .. but realized after the first time snagging and busting off using them dam snagging weighted treble hooks, I needed heavier line with all the crossovers ripping up and down my range. Those were amazing times. I am glad snag hooks are a thing of the past in the SR. It would be cool by me if it were all nokill and no trebles on the river.

IT IS NO TREBLES ON THE RIVER, EXCEPT IF THE LURE FLOATS WHEN NOT UNDER TENSION.
