THEY'RE HERE

Well i was lucky enough to spend the last hour and 45 minutes getting drenched to my skivvies while fighting some fresh dime brights...the first hour was slow as i was convinced i missed them as i had heard they were moving up ...lluckily i stumbled upon a nice little treat for about 45 minutes of unmolested chromers that were not in any hurry...managed to land three...no one in sight the whole time i fished...awesome.... i would imagine staircase through ballpark will have good numbers today...

Things have slowed alot here now Dime. I see more fish hunting going on. I think they may have either ran thru by now or are hole sitting. Again they say it was crazy action here yesterday. I like staircase but in this flow it only takes a handful of morons to shut it down. Im gonna hope they pop outtve long bridge and town pool in awhile

Hello All.  Does anyone have any maps with locations that you guys mention often, or know where I can find some.  It seems like the maps on this site aren't working.  Thanks.

sounds good guys... monday about 100 or so passed , swam around rt 3 bridge from 8am until about 11 when i left and it died out.. Maybe a few more came in eve ..
NOTHING moved through estuary on saturday or Sunday so Clint may be right with the "scouts"... Kinda the same way we look at stripers here...

Once again I'm glad you guys are finding a few to play with..
Id say keep your limit at this point.. I'm all about CPR but remember the conditions..
Nuff said and not disrespecting anyone just IMO..

At this point Id have to say through experience that the Estuary needs to fill with fish before a "run" up river..
Through observation I still think is a little ways away yet..
I'm looking forward to the lake on friday for sure.. May get a shot at river fishing some point on sunday but troll baby troll is only on my mind..

    Thanks again for the reports:

i think i'm getting it better now.
this early and this is the way the fishing is done.
guess that stand back and fish idea is only a dream in my friends head from the old days.
he hasn't fished for salmon since the eighties.
more looking for a fish to throw a hook at.
from the pic can anyone tell if this is the dsr or not.

Yes it is Sarge, this is the spot in low flow that can be shut down if enough guys stand there stopping all fish movement. Encon was in the past writting guys up for that under herding.

DSR just reported CP. Sounds like decent activity. If you go up I would focus from staircase to lower ballpark, if your not going to DSR. Hopefully the front passing thru latter will drop some more water to stir them up. Watch the radar and if you have facebook put DSR on it, they update more frequently on that. Good luck

Thanks for the intel Cohook. My brother wants to go for the first time. I know its not primetime yet but he goes back in a few days. Would probab;y try the ballpark if i go for it and then work my way down. Maybe it would be worth th 45 bucks to go to dsr since he now lives in brazil. I have never been there before. do they sell out every morning this early in the season?

    Thanks again

No they don't, especially during the week for this early go action. Spending the 45 might be a very good choice since this is his one and only crack at it. Plenty of fish in dsr and action right now is almost a sure thing down there. Either way both areas will have fish to cast too.

If I were going out tomorrow and taking someone else that will only have one shot at it I would spend the $45 and hit the DSR.Get there early when they open and get on the path that takes you downstream to the Joss hole and below,if there are fish moving you will be in a prime area.

That'll change tomorrow, another batch entered dsr this afternoon. That should put them in the village tomorrow. . . . .usually.
