74

74 is the water temp that the river needs to be for the first waves of salmon to sneak in. That has been the magic number in all the past years, I know its warm but that's what it has been when the first "pods" move in. I see O'Brian of Trophy Angler is reporting one salmon caught today in DSR by a pass holder. Now that I've said that I can see the rods being shoved in vehicles now and plans rolling like water. Lol!

I may try a run up after work later in the week  probably just to walk, but there will be a pole in my hand if I go

Remember Retired, it has to be down to that temp in the low end of DSR and the estuary. The water flattens out and slows down in those areas causing them to warm up a little. I don't know where Whitakers get theirs from but more turbid water would run a bit cooler. But if they have it at 72 then we are getting real close. These cool nights and hopefully a cool rain and I think its game on big time.

These cool nights should bring it down fairly quick. Just seeing all of them on the boats is getting me excited

Looks like it already hit the 60s in the river from the cool nights and we have fish movement already.
