Was out sunday too. We got 2 limits but there was 4 of us. Also got a steelie and around 20 white perch that one guy kept. Had locator problems after the third hour out. Wouldn't read anything between the bottom and top. Found out late in the day that the fish were deeper than they were last week. Hope to do better next time.

Nice catch there Chauncy... glad to see you are still finding them. We were going to go out of Connie this weekend but weather forecasts sure don't look like it now.... so guess we'll stay at camp and fire up the smoker for some ribs instead.

John, not moving west but they are moving back in. Last week we were out on the 08/09 line getting them. Thursday at the 00/04 line. Adam got his biggest of the season at 12+lbs. Took it to the taxidermist in Linesville where he weighed it and having it mounted. Adam is 6'5 and well over 300lbs.

Perch fished ashtabula yesterday, friday 9/6 with my buddy Adam from OGF and a couple more guys from his friends church. We got four limits but it took a while as the other two guys were rookies. Me and adam helped fill their tickets so we could get off the water. Stopped at the first pack but moved out to the second pack an hour later. Bigger fish and bigger schools out there. Lots of doubles for me. Fast action = big fun.

glad to see you found them! We went out of Connie on Saturday late morning, was rough and we had intended to go for eyes but decided to head back into shallow water looking for natives or steel. Only trolled an hour and didn't find so we packed it in and decided to head to camp for an early day. We hope to be back Friday to try again. We are hoping to find a few fresh chrome in the lake to let my BIL smoke some more but we didn't find them yet. Just a good excuse to be out on the lake again next week though, right? LOL

The cold weather will certainly have some long term effects on the lake this year...we will have to do some adjustments in our normal routine also, I am sure. Leadmen, hope your season is safe and fruitful!

The eyes we found were about flat on bottom, didn't see any marks above about 55 ft.... we ended up getting ours on super bright colored reef runners on either 7 colors of lead or 7 ounces of weight at 150ft, all off of board lines. We didn't mark much of a thermocline indication either, and before this weekend we always noted the indication at about 50-55 feet and the fish were at or above it... with the thermocline indication gone the fish were all below where it had been.
