Floats?

Hey guys, I tried to find some archived information and came up empty.  I know this discussion will be dependent on the conditions, etc... that I fish, but with that said what are the typical floats + sizes used on the SR/tribs.  I'm thinking of giving it a shot on my spinning rod so I won't be pinning.  I seem to be having some difficulty deciding what ones/sizes to get.
I was thinking Raven RVFFS3 (3.8 gram) and RVFFM2 (5 gram).  I fish a lot of 4 ft water with riffles so not fast but not slow.  In other words, I'm hoping to find a float or maybe two types that will be condusive for most conditions.

Thanks for any help, I know it all about what works for each individual but any help will get me closer to getting it right and hopefully cut down on the learning curve.  I typically bottom bounce sacs or dare I say it even beads (caught 3 last year for the first time, I know its a topic that some won't talk about) but figured it might be fun to watch a float get taken under.

Can't wait for October 24th!!!!!!!!!!!

www.raventackle.com float fishing guide has some good info on the size float for the water conditions.

Yeah I looked on the website plus the depth/speed of water chart but grams is another piece that is the unknown for me and defining slow versus fast water conditions might differ amongst each fisherman so I'm still left wondering whether there are any trends for float fisherman on the SR/tribs in terms of grams as well as overall models/manufacturers.

We won't discuss shotting patterns which adds another element.
Anyhow thanks for the heads up..
