Sacandaga I'm home. Pics added

OK, my trip is in 2 weeks and I am looking for any info large or small on the reservoir.  We will be staying on the North end in Northville.   Even info on on nearby bodies of water is good.  I am not above going on a day trip to someplace nearby.   We are most interested in fishing for Walleyes and I know they are hit or miss.  I also plan on filling the freezer with perch and other pan fish.   I have tied some streamers and I my goal is  a few early mornings targeting pike on my fly rod.   Any little bit would help as I am going in blind here.
Thanks in advance
Clint

Well I made it back today from a rather uneventful trip.   We stayed in house that had river/lake  access across the road.   It was hotter than a mother on most days and there were several times thunder storms pushed us off the water.   Sacandaga is a HUGE reservoir and we only had a 14 footer with a 20 horse  so our fishing was kept to the Northwest arm of the res which is actually the original river   We mostly fished right near the Northville bridge.  One group had a bigger boat and ventured on the main res a few times.   The water was low and on our end there were NO weed beds I could find.   Our boat strictly fished for walleye and perch.    I caught  walleye every day but only one day actually limited out  (5) with keepers of 15 inches or above.   largest was 18 inches and smallest fit in the palm of my hand.   Most others were in the 12 to 14 inch range.    Caught one pike while Jigging and it taped at 38 inches, but I left the camera back as it was raining pretty good.   Did not catch a bass although my buddy caught 2 decent ones.  Our boat did the best with #'s and keepers.   One rainbow was  caught at 18 inches.  The biggest fish was a carp that went about 12 lbs I caught.
Tried the fly rod a few times, but where we were there really was not alot of good areas.   I did not have any luck with it aside from a sunfish.  Northville reservoir does not allow motorized boats and I fished from shore there with no luck as it as the middle of the day and about 95 degrees.   I have a few pictures and I will get at them when I get a chance.    Almost  every fish had crayfish in its belly

One of these things are not like the other...........................
Notice the one Dr Pepper can on top I drank.
We were catching perch as big as pringle cans.   Bigger than alot of the walleye.
I fought the carp for 10 plus minutes, thought it was a big northern at first.

Yea, the walleyes all run on the small end up there.  If you get one above 20 inches you are doing well.  That's why I dd not feel bad about bringing home 4 bags.  3 of the guys did not want to bring any fish home so I got their limit.
