North East fishin

I will be camping with my girlfriends family in north east the last two weekends in july, is it worth going out of north east for walleye or would I be better off driving down to lampe or walnut? 
 
Also, does anyone target lakers in the summer out of north east?  I was thinking of running out deep and seeing if I can get anything going one afternoon or evening.

    The fishing out of North East has been good. I was out Monday night and 11 for 16 on eyes and got 2 browns.

    The pictures i posted from earlier this week were from NE. That was only 2 hrs worth of fishing also.
