Bought license online....
I bought my license online, and printed it out. I figured I'd eventually get a real one in the mail, but never did, and they say I never will. However, on the PFBC website it explicitly says they will be mailed after 7-10 days after purchasing online. Whats going on here? They said I need to call them directly, was on hold for 40 minutes last time I tried and hung up. Is the printed license sufficient proof? I'd prefer a real license as this one is quite flimsy and kinda messed up now because I put it through the wash with my wallet but managed to dry it out. Just don't understand why they never mailed me a real one?

The printed one is the only one you get. It's actually a better setup because oyu can just print another one (or ten) if you mangle yours.

Crap my fault for not saving the image...they said it's only available for 7 days online. Guess I'll have to make due with what I got or give em a call for a hardcopy

I believe you can get another copy on line, but it will cost you about 6 bucks or so. At least you used to be able to. If you do that, make sure you either make multiple copies of the license before you sign off or just save the file onto your computer so you can print extra copies later if you want/need to.

the first time i purchased my license on-line several years back i hadn't realized my ink cartridges were out. didn't think this was a big deal, just ordered more but they didn't arrive in time and my license "disappeared" and i had to purchase a duplicate. now when i purchase on-line i print up about half a dozen copies, scan one of them into my documents and keep the copies in various places like glove box, boat, various tackle boxes etc. if for any reason i ever need to print another i just go to my docs and print what i need. real, real handy doin it this way

I also dump a copy of the PDF on to my phone....If the 6 copies I print, laminate and stash in various locations aren't sufficient!

get a small package of laminating material at wall mart ,k-mart ,wallgreens, there is about five pieces 3x5 for a couple of bucks, laminate them and it doesn't matter how flimsy the paper is. the laminate is stiff enough you can put a safety pin through it, don't need a holder

I print 10 or more every year, one goes into each tackle bag, each vehicle, etc.

Good Idea. I would try this if you want an actual license print-out. So long as you have your Customer Identification number, on the license I belive it says "CID #", take it to a local licensing agent, and with the number, they should be able to print you a regular copy, for like 5 or 6 bucks of course. I ordered a license online some time ago, and they sent it to me in a few days, so I'm not sure why they don't do it now, especially since the PFBC website says that they make it a rule to show the yellow license they issue now on your clothing so their wardens can check from afar with binoculars and decide who they should and should not check in certain circumstances. I've purchased Florida saltwater licenses over the phone a few times. In that state, they simply have you write down a number and keep it in your wallet. There isn't a need to print anything. That was a non-resident 10 day license, though. ORIGINAL: kayak99 ORIGINAL: skeelol Crap my fault for not saving the image...they said it's only available for 7 days online.
