Yes, of course one could never apply common sense to recognize that squeezing the chit of the tick differs from a firm grasp near the head of the tick

yeah so your tweezers can squeeze whatever toxins it may be carrying into your blood stream instead of it just vomiting it into the stream.

No one ever said to squeeze the tick by the middle of the body, it actually says in here specifically not to do that and grab as close to the head as possible. I guarantee you that 90% of the time if you go to the hospital with a tick embedded in your skin, they are going to pluck it out with tweezers by grabbing it as close to the head as possible. Then they will probably do as many lab tests on it as possible to get all the dollars they can out of your insurance.

I took a tick into the hospital that I pulled out myself once several years ago, told them it was a deer tick, and I was worried because the head broke off under my skin. I thought they might test the tick for lymes disease or want to dig the head out, which is why I went in. Well they sent it to a lab, and charged my insurance like $300 dollars just to identify it as a deer tick, with no testing for lymes disease. Which I already knew and told them it was when I brought it in.

I'll never go to the hospital again for a tick bite, unless I start seeing the bulls-eye rings. The family practice doctor knew nothing about ticks or if the head needed to be extracted (it doesn't), and I was able to find more relevant information from notable sources on the internet by myself.
