Black Mosh Icing

Heading up to Black Moshannon lake to to do some ice fishing in the end of February (ice permitting). Any tips on wat the fish in the lake eat in winter. I have two lakes by me and one you can catch panfish and trout all day on wax worms and eggs and the other you won't get a hit on anything that isn't chartruese in color. Just looking for some pointers on the lake.

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Shiners and fatheads on tipups = lots of pickerel with some nice pannies occasionally. Jigging with waxworms or maggots is hit or miss.

Exactly as cabst119 wrote. Those two baits will get a person tons of chains! We couldn't ever keep them off the tip-ups or hand held rods. Lots of action every time we went!
