e-mail from north carolina
some of you that have sons out of state know what this is like when you get an e-mail like this. i'm going down to my son's house for Christmas this weekend coming. he told me to bring my fishing equip. before we hung up yesterday morning he said he was going fishing for the day. this morning i got this e-mail from him. kinda started my day off real good. Give a man a fish feed him for the day. Tie him a couple wooly buggers. He'll bring fish home all winter long!!! Caught about 7 today missed 4. Looks good for next week. Thanks for the buggers dad. Water is up finally

Nice. My brother lives near Charlotte, but he is coming back for Christmas. I'm hoping to get down there in March for some fishing...

Well done Dad. Come on DT a chain stringer. You mean you haven't given that young man a Green Uberflysnob rope yet.

when we bait fished and kept trout we always used chains. loved that clicking noise back then. he wanted a few to take back to eat with his son. RC, son lives in Asheville. great location for all the surounding trout streams and not too far from the great smoky's. i love it down there.

Smoke the rainbows, grill the brookie. Always used the chain. Easier for culling. Nice.

RC, i hope to be moving down that way next summer if i can find a job.

My daughter & son-in-law have a new house they built right on Lake Norman. He fishes the lake all the time in his bass boat. I've got to get down there.

I head to Asheville once a year to spend a week. There's some great native brookie streams in the pisgah forest, and a few off the parkway if your willing to explore a little. Asheville is a cool town. Lots of good beer too.
