The first and only time I ice fished was in "the pond" back in early january 06. It was 40s and raining when we got up there and the next morning it was -5. After 2 days of the blusterous weather the pond went from no ice to 4-6 inches of clear ice. It was cracking and popping while we were on it but I was told that was the ice expanding against the water.... anyways I had decided I didn't like ice fishing that weekend and wanted to steelhead fish instead. Keep in mind that was in my fly only uber snob days.... lol.... I have actually considered trying it again in recent years; mainly from ht's pics of those slammers....

Sometimes that will backfire also. A friend who lives on Irondequoit Bay all winter told me of coming off the ice with no problems late last winter, but the gent who followed his tracks went through. First walker sets up the vibrations that weakens the ice, and then the second one breaks it.

butt, butt, butt, you single-handedly disrupted, discombubulated, and practically destroyed a website forum via the Bandito Banner Thread.

It was a thing of beauty to watch the infighting, backstabbing, and drippy-V behavior by "allegedly" superior-minded weed-addled flyshop rats, Gulf Coast Captains, and other assorted ****nozzlers..

It was a Thang of Beauty Slammo.

One of the Pinnacles of my Experiences on Al Gore's Interwebs..

It literally brought a tear to my eye (from laughter).

o.k. back to fishing.....
