12/4 1 hit all day

Had one bite all day.   31 inches,   my biggest yet.   Fishing up North several places on a trib, water was WAY high, and alot of anglers at the good holes.   Lots of space to myself downstream, but no hits.   Slow day overall talking to several folks.   The bites came early in the day and towards sunset.   Fish were holding tight.   After I revived this one she went into a small crack between 2 rocks that I would have never believed if I did not see it go in.  Fish were taken on beads, sacs by other anglers.  I got this one on an Orange Estaz egg with a pearl flash tail.   Dime I forgot my streamer case so I only fished egg patterns, with the water this high a dark I wished I would have brought it

Hit Grindstone today,  I have never really fished there.  Fished from the first access down. I got one hit and played it for about 10 seconds and spit the hook.    Water looked real nice in a few spots, but VERY difficult to fly fish due to dense tanglewoods on both sides in alot of places.   I went through 2 leaders due to getting them snagged up.  Water was mostly shin depth and lower riffles and quite clear in most spots.   Saw one small brown and the one fish I hit, no others.   Best part was not 1 person anywhere in sight.   I count any day I go and get a hit a success at this point so a good relaxing day today.   Plan to hit up north at least one day this week.
