Place to post info on upcoming fishing tournaments for the 2012 hard water season.

    The Northern Challenge Fishing Derby held the 1st Saturday in February each year is truly a site to see. With fishermen and women competing for over $33,000 in money and prizes, it makes the Northern Challenge one of the area's biggest fishing derbies around. Each year we give away two 4-wheelers, $6,400 in cash, and $6,500 in miscellaneous prizes. Last year there were five 50-50 drawings that each paid out an average of $1,900.

    The 2012 Walleye Ice Fishing Tournament on The Great Sacandaga is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2012. Anyone interested in adding their name to the event's mailing list is asked to call the Fulton County Tourism Department at (518) 725-0641 or to send a request via e-mail at info@fultoncountyny.org.
