Ton's of Cohoes plus Salmon, filling in!

Thurs. we had a BIG run of Cohoes thru the Ballpark area.
T and Fri. I saw 100's and 100's, of Kings off the driftboat in the upper river.
Guide freinds have said to me that they have never seen this many trout this early in the upper. :)

The entire river is with fish, as usual, at this time of the year, with 1,000's more to come.  :)

Best Fish's, to you all,

If the salmon are moving well, and they are holding at the sportsman, you may want to try Trout Brook. You would need to fish the mouth of trout brook where it comes off the salmon river. At the first bend, there's a deep hole at that tree holding fish. You then have two sides running up. I fish the top of the left side, and target them where the small stream opens up and turns right. The next hot spot is to the right, where the streams join to flow up. There is a tree lying across the bank. This hole will hold a ton of fish. Fish both sides of the tree close to the bank. It's best on the left side of the tree as, you can let your lure drift the water flow and drop into the hole. Then you have to get on the other side of the tree to fight the fish. I've always had success at trout brook. The main problem is the "Guide" who will walk the shore line flashing their flashlights at the fish, herding them into the holes I'm describing. You have to be early to get these spots and willing to take on these ignorant guides.

Did anyone see that lovely pic of Mr. Jones holding a nice King in the September issue of New York Game & Fish? Well, the king looks good anyway . I have fished with Randy 3 times over the years and the man knows how to put you on fish and is excellent at sharing knowledge.
