Can someone please help me dont want to waste the trip if its not fishable

Can someone please tell me if walnut and elk will be fishable in the morning? How long does it take for the water level to come down and get clear

If you are that worried about wasting a trip then I'd say stay home.  They were much higher than they've been in a while, so it's hard to guess right now.  Normally they'd all fish by afternoon if not morning assuming the water stopped falling. I'm not so sure that will be the case this time though.

If you really need to know call a local baitshop. Poor Richards phone number is for the west side: 814 474 5623 , East side:814 725 8483. These poeple will hook you up with what you want to know about the streams and conditions

normally water lowers within a couple days on walnut and elk. but considering how high they are right now id say the tribs wont be much fishable till late in the weekend or early next week. you may possibly be able to fish it saturday but it will be very high and muddy, and lots of debris. i havent seen the water for myself yet but from the pictures i seen it doesnt look like it will be fishable tomorrow.

I don't know that tomorrow would be too good but I would have to imagine that come Saturday things should be, at the very least, fishable...especially the eastside.

They'll all fish Saturday without more rain or considerable snow melt. It doesn't matter how high they get, it never takes that long for them to clear after the runoff stops.

Assuming we get no more precipitation and the temperatures stay cold, by Sunday you should be able to find fishable water.  Actually, unless the streams are totally blown out, you can fish them, but you need to be careful.  Whether they will be ideal, that depends on your idea of ideal.  Personally, I like a good flow, with a little color.  Really high and muddy or low and gin clear are tough.  Good luck when you come.

Upper sections were fishable today(11/23). Although the conditions were not the greatest there were fish to be seen and caught.
