soft plastics

should you keep soft plastics in their original resealable bag or can you take them out and put them in the box

    depends on the type. THose berkley Gulp things that are biodegradable will dry out and shrivel up on you. THey have to be in an air tight container.

    Alot of my plastics have been fine when I put them in sorting trays, but a few of them have melted in the sun and fuzed into the plastic. I don't know what the difference in material was, but it made a mess.

    Those gulp dry up incredibly fast, they are a pain.  I keep my normal plastic baits in there bag, seems easier to me. I know some brands of tackle boxes make their boxes so plastic baits dont melt, but im not sure if i would trust them in the heat

    haha yeah. i learned that the hard way. i had some nice pearl white swim baits that turned redish pink after mixing in with others

    thanks for the info everybody. im definitely gonna keep the biodegradable ones in their bags. and then put the rest in boxes. my boxes dont see direct sunlight

    i carry too many different plastics to put them in boxes.  i leave them in the original bags and put them in Cabela's electronics bags.
