Some true dedication, too. It looks like an alien is about to be born out of his shoulder and neck, and he's fighting kings. I can't imagine having an injury like that and trying to hang on to one of them nutty fish. He took some of his time to play teacher, too. I learned more from HT in a day, than I would of in a month fishing alone. So we'll do a little role reversal this time, the student is sending in a doctor's note for the teacher...
Won't be long now. All the excitement will  go the way of all flesh  and we'll get left with this...

Yeah this was the first, I had lost a few prior but this fish is why I go up every year now.  Obviously, the every year should be used lightly since it will only be my 3rd year, but I don't anticipate stopping.  Tuna, its funny you mention that, I wore it for that exact reason...  However its been a long time since the Irish have been lucky!!!

Too funny slayer,
The legal size must be 23" .. The first fish was 22 & 3/4" ..
Every single slimer was caught at least 100' down. Thought about running the fly rod of the rigger but it was just to nasty out there to mess with..

Lake George lake trout matures at about 19" and is between 6/7 years of age.. They live 20 years plus..

Now even if they were of legal size, I don't like the taste
Thinking maybe the crappie are in trouble though because they will go in the fryer
Pic's to follow

Fichy:

that is a beautiful pic man !!
One I would frame and be proud to hang in the living room.. It's not always about the fish but rather the experience..

Thanks for sharing..

P.S.
that alien was bigger then ever getting bounced around all day long.. Stream fishing was WAY easier.. I'm done with rollercoaster rides for the year even after I was invited to go again today.. No Thanks..
I do hope my brother in law is finding the Big Ones today and not just the minnows..

Machine:
the fist one is always the most everlasting memory.. GREAT job !! Many more to come now im sure.. You got the fever that wont ever go away, believe me..
Those Irish will redeem them selves !!

HT, glad you got some fish on the troll. I've only fished there for landlocks wading off the million dollar beach in Nov. That fishery is pretty done.  Snotty water! My **** is sore just looking at it.   Don't forget to rest up, Sat. will be here very quickly..... DSR it is.

Can only hope a few degrees drop in water temp maybe th and fri and some unmolested fish  in the morning. Oh well, for me my goal was exceeded by a ridiculously good day and time last th.  If I hang out and meet some of you guys and get to fish, I'm not sweating it. I won't forget the line, Jack. I've been using mine and it performs well.

I'll take mine with Tempura batter and cocktail....   I probably won't have any until the ice.  Looks like a tasty spot, HT.    I've got some  good spots near me for gills and crappie, not good now- weeds are still heavy.  Sz. 6  beadhead  buggers and the 3 wt. rock for 'em.  Bet a noodle would, too.

Box was decimated from last thur. Got it almost done again. I tied this one for salmon, ain't hit the steel box yet. The pink/flesh was the hot fly last time. I expect something very different this time.
