I went yesterday night.  I had a real hard time getting them to bite.  The packed big red boat seemed not to do well either.  I moved 6 times and it wore me out.  I moved all over from the pt. to west of the lighthouse to GE and all in between.  In some spots the graph showed fish but nothing hitting.  I would tend to think the east wind pushed the cold water in and the bite shut down.  At dock the other guys said they didn't do well either. Just my 2cents

Looks like south 5-7 mph with 1 footers on Tues. as of right now. (whatever that's worth)

I'm heading out tomorrow morning, I plan on starting out off of the lighthouse 40ft ish...I'll let you know how we did.

the waves are not the issue it is the 30% chance of thunderstorms

30% chance of thunderstorms means 70% chance of no thunderstorms. If I avoided hitting the lake every time there was a chance of inclement weather...I'd almost never fish. Watch the radar...during the summertime a "pop-up" thunderstorm is almost always a possibility. That's what they make marinas and parking lots for.

Besides, I guarantee you that forecast will change between now and Tuesday. I'm not saying it will change for the better, but it WILL change.

I agree with you Bogey.  However, we'd be dragging a boat from Pittsburgh to Erie late Monday night only to fish Tuesday morning/day and then returning back to Pittsburgh Tuesday night.  That type of a drag with a 30% chance of lighting (rain doesn't bother either of us) is more than a good enough reason to postpone a trip to Erie and take the boat out on the river down here in Pittsburgh.

But like you mentioned the weather always changes (just yesterday the thuderstorms weren't even possible until Wednesday) so checking the weather Sunday night will be the best thing to do before making a decision.

Tough day on the lake today. In the first five hours we put a total of 12 perch in the live well. Around one o'clock, we hit our fifth spot. Bingo! After an hour and a half, we had fifty in the boat. North of Four Mile Run in 37 feet of water.

it's Erie... there's a 30% chance of rain every day even if the weatherman doesn't say so.

i didnt miss the point, i correct myself...
it's Erie... there's a 30% chance of thunderstorms every day even if the weatherman doesn't say so in the Summer

however, it has been upped to 50% now.
