Life Beyond SR

Decided to give the ponds & Brookies ( yes Salmo wild fish ) a break since now is prime time stream fishing.
Many wild fish caught amoungst the standard stocked ones.
4 were put under the knife and tasted ohhhh soooo goood...
As a good friend would say, fish till ya Puke ;)....

If you never been, This is God's Country :)

Thanks folks, I have a bunch of landscape shots as well but I really dis-like the camera I was using, Olympus-550wp. It's waterproof 10 pixel but I just dont think it takes nice crisp pictures like the Kodak..

The river was the West Branch Ausable.. The ponds however I'll keep nameless
I have fished that river for 40 years and lived in LP for a time ..
You have to hunt for the Phatties in there though..

    Salmo:
Shift work was great for fishing.. I worked a rotating swing shift (southern swing) for 10 years and loved having days during the week off..

I have enough then to be set for life (LOL)

of 40 years on the Ausable I caught my Personal Best there last spring... Sadly I lost one last week that would have made this look like a baby ;(

    P.S.
If you want to see Ontario lake run fish I have Hundreds & Hundreds :)

    really nice photo sequence.

A few years ago, I took a week-long road trip up in that area, wandering aimlessly with no particular place to go, and i fished the Ausable for a few days...

Did not catch any bruisers like your last one, but it was one of the most enjoyable trips in my memory.

You are lucky to be able to spend so much time in God's Country, where, unlike the SR, the fish are not man-made, and the place does not resemble Disneyworld.

My only regret from that week long trip was that I did not have another wek or two to continue roaming...

    later.
