Frabill pier net

I'm looking into getting a frabill pier net and I was wondering if anyone had one, if so do you like it? Is it worth the money to put into it or get a landing net with a handle. We fish in some pretty high places for cat fish and what not. Also, I kinda gotta figgure something out by friday for a trip and can have this net for $39 from Gander Mtn by then.  Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

I was fishing off a dam outflow area, kinda like those at crooked creek, loyalhanna, or conemaugh, or even Mahoning.  The model # of the one I was looking at is the #1003 but the #1212 is folding and is shown by many sites so far for use in salt water fishing etc etc.  I was fishing last night at crooked creek and snapped off a 15lb or so channel cat that was 1/2 way up to me... (I know should be using better line but I wasn't expecting it.)

Ever try an umbrella minnow net?

Would it support the weight of like a 10-30lb fish?  And not get destroyed if a hook hits it?

I just picked up a Cumings Octagonal Handle Telescoping Walleye Net.  End of handle to end of net goes from 69" - 82" - 94".  Very Sturdy for $39

I use a good net with a 4' handle then add another pole.
A broom handle fits perfectly inside both poles then add a screw to each.

For ocean piers most use a circle net on a rope.

An Aussi cliff gaff sounds a ****ed site more suitable - just slide it down the mainline over the fish and pull
