Fishfinder/GPS

I'm in the market to upgrade my fishfinder and was interested in seeing what anyone on here suggests. I currently have a very basic hummingbird that came with my boat and I was thinking about getting a model that has a built in GPS. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to stay south of 6 bills.

i have humminbird's wal mart model fish finder/gps and i love it... holds 500 waypoints, easy for trolling routes, waypoints store depth as well, i paid about 300 for it... it has a dual beam transducer... i use it for ice fishing too.. i put my transducer on a wood tipup like rig so i can scan find my way to my waypoints and scan for fish... i use a garden tractor battery.. also powers my color underwater cam and portable lcd tv...

I recently purchased a Lowreance elite-5 chartplotter. It has choice of GPS or fishfinder or split screen. Will hold 3000 waypoints and will keep track of trail back to dock, among other things. I am still learning how to usa it, but so far I like it.It should sell between 5 or 6 bills.

If you like the Humminbirds, Cabela's bargain cave has the 597's both the ci, and HD for 449 and 499 respectively. Nice units.

I love cats. I just can't eat a whole one..
