Shawnee Lake

Just wondering if anyone might have been there this year or heard anything about the water quality this year. Thinking of taking a trip down just to see if things there have improved or stayed the same. Any info?

    I went down earlier this year and even though the water clarity improved there were no signs of any fish. I thought last year was bad this year seems to be even worse. A few guys I know went there a few weeks back and they saw nothing as well.

    Unfortunately yes. lol There are plenty of dead seas out there worth fishing but this dead sea doesn't seem to have any good hiding lunkers to find.

    I have a camp near there the water quality has improved but it looks like the only fish that is there are carp. Hopefully the fish will make a come back. I have fished this lake for the last 30 yrs and the last 5 it has become a dead sea before that the fishing was as good as it gets for northerns, bass and crappies.
