First fish with custom rod

For those of you who remember me asking about a good all around smallmouth spinning blank, here is the finished product.  Well sort of, you can't see much but the fish.  Anyway broke its cherry this morning. Ended up going with a 7' St Croix, SCiii, medium power, fast action.  I went simple on the styling so not much of a looker.  This rod is stout.  Feels like it could handle nearly anything in Lake Erie.

    Thats sweet. I throw a st croix 7' medium light spinning rod for smallies in the bay. Never had any problems landing fish.
