That's the spirit! I thought we were supposed to shut up and fish?

Yeah... right now it's every day. Be patient... later it will only go to crap right on time every week starting on Friday afternoons.

Glad I'm able to do some weekday fishing. A guy who works Mon-Fri could starve waiting for a month to get out.

I guess we could stay in the bay and fish cod with Sig until the crab grounds lay down.

    Any time you're ready Paul.

It heated up pretty quickly last year and it ended up being a banner year for me. The prior year that had a very cold and wet spring was not a very good year for me...but then again, I'm fishing the phat water.

I had the exact opposite results, but my time was limited last year and I never really got a program together. Unless you call following Nuke and BigSlick around picking up the FEW that they missed...

Ya me too. The heat brought those eyes right into pa and deep into pa nice and early. It was a great year last year. It will be interesting to see what's happens with the water temps and the eyes this year.
It all ended in a hurry last fall with those nasty winds and cold temps and they headed west again just like that.
Did I happen to mention that I can't hardly wait to get out. There's nothing like a great day on the pond, dragging plugs of the boards and having the hogs hit the deck one after another.

God! It gives me the chills just thinkn about it.

This weather is all my fault.
after many years of being a boat ho, i finally bought an erie caliber boat. With my luck it will rain the rest of the year and freeze over by september.

to make a long story short, i ended up with a walk around. i had money down on a straight up fishing machine but the queen wanted a cabin!

    Notherone,
Heck no you got the best of both worlds. Cabin and a boat. That's a lot of up keep and mantiance. It's worth it though.

You'll love that walk around, the cabin is a little smaller than a straight up cuddy but the walk around allows a lot more space for perch fishing. I really like the layout of mine, it's completely set up for fishing but the wife could sit out front and sunbathe or read if she wanted to.

Upkeep and maintenance are really no different than any other boat, just don't heavily wax the walk way portion. Slippery is not a good thing when you're trying to get up there, speaking from experience...

Ya they are great for big water too!
I meant you will have double the up keep with a boat & a cabin.
    Sorry for the confusion.

Looking forward to getting out on the pond again this year after a year off in Texas. Will need to get the sea legs back in check.

If I would have asked what everyone wanted, they would have responded that they wanted a better horse....Henry Ford

don't wax the walkway. that is some good advice. sorry you learned that lesson the hard way.
