North Branch Slippery Rock washed both of my bridges out! Stream was at flood stage and moving very fast. It dropped about 2 feet through the night Saturday and I managed 4 four my 3 year old to wind in on Sunday in about 30 minutes. We fished a strip mine pond and he had a blast with the blue gills.

ORIGINAL: Road King

I don't trout fish. They don't feed the "Farm Raised Trout" for 3 to 4 days before they are transfered. So it becomes about a week that the trout have not eaten. Then it becomes a bunch of morons shoulder to shoulder at a "Turkey Shoot" or let us just call it a "Trout Hooking Contest". The trout will eat anything that comes within reaching distance. It's a bunch of BS. I'm sorry if I stepped on anydodys toes or upset them, but it's the truth, think about it. God bless you all!

Honestly couldn't say it any better...  Me and my girlfriend had that discussion this year on our way out to fish on Saturday that was eventually rained out.  She said "I don't see why people make such a big deal out of going and catching farm raised starved fish that will hit anything even a frilled out cigarette butt or even a piece of gummy nasty power bait paste..."  I tend not to aim for trout they just happen to decide to bite the hook...  Thankfully spawn time is comming soon so bass/panfish/carp/catfish will be on my hook more then some trout... Also that was a nice fish from Loyalhanna... Woulda been something better to see it pictured and then released..
