Bass

Hey hguys just wondering has anyone been having success with bass on the pre spawn yet? I've only really fished for them twice so far this year and picked 4 up on tubes but for some reason the bite hasn't been very productive yet.

There's alot of hungry bass out there. Maybe try changing your tactics and fish the warmest water possible. Hope that helps.

Yeah I've realized I've been fishing about 10 to 12 fow so I think I'm going to change it up with a shakey head and worms. We need this weather to heat up to the 50s to warm the water up but soon the spawn will start. Maybe I should start fishing with fluro leaders rather then mono

Been a long winter too....what happened last year this time, won't be the same this year....water temps are still way colder than last yr.

Yeah it looks like it may be a delayed spawn which actually might be better catching even more fish in a short span. I've been hearing a lot about the pike fishing too and it hasn't been very productive for me either. Oh well at least the steelhead bite has been better then average for this time of year.

fished misery today from canoe from 9am til about 1pm...used one pole off bottom and one pole with bobber...caught about 8 bass with the largest about 16"...about 6 perch (only 2 keeper size) all off the bottom with live minnows and nothing with the bobber...pretty slow but nice day to be out

Dont get ahold of Slick. You'll only catch small fish and he will catch the big ones. Than he'll tell you that he reels better than you!

its common rapid water temp changes / stress from spawning

Largemouth- 2 keys to finding them this time of year. 1. Warmest available water. 2. Forage for them in the warmest water available. Once you have that you will usually have largies around any available cover in that area.

Still am not getting hit on the worms, has anyone been getting hit with them on largemouths? I feel like I could catch more pelletheads with a bass worm right now then bass. Usually I'm hammering them by now any tips would be greatly appreciated I'm just in shock
