38 degrees and probably rising....

Well gentlemen; looks like mild weather and rising water temps coupled with fluctuating waterflows here and there for the next few weeks... prime time is near. Let's all be conscious of taking care when targeting these beautiful dropbacks and assuring that they are released properly and mostly not bothered if not interestted in eating. Tight lines fellas...

Hey sarg, fishing for dropbacks can be like finding a good woman in a bar at 2 am if you know what I mean. For all you know your timing can be completely right or completely wrong.Persistence is the key. The river should be fishable based on its current water flow and the upcoming weather. Although it is odd they were only running 750 while there was 2000+ actual flow the other day...hint hint...(maybe their going to boost the water when they open the pens in the hatchery)... you never know what goes on Behind the scenes. Flows are actually on the lower side ofmedian for this time of year but water temps are even lower. It should be interesting. Only time will tell. Good luck.

Which is exactly my point.... why not more of a flow release??? Seams "odd" with that much run off that they didnt let some water go... maybe they're holding it for some reason....

    Drake---Good luck--enjoy the fishing too.

Dime---Been  reading the river flow each day then tuning into the River Cam.
They keep saying the same 750 on the flow report and the Cam shows more gravel and lower water each day .

OHMIGHOD the River must be leaking

750 is the release. If fishing up high the river didn't really change---down low add some tribs and ditches and that's where u get the changes in the conditions---hint--look at the flow on a trib to the north---pretty much mirrors what's going on in the SR ;)

Yea -the cam shows it going down more and more each day- not really sure what 750 looks like on it just thought it a bit odd- Read the report where the tribs are real high and the main river kinda low- guess thats it.
Hope it doest get too low now. Would be a snaggers dream.

I know 750 is the release. Its just surprising to me that they didn't release more while and after the rain event.

Just mirrors what's going on in the non-release creeks w/ ties to the hill.
