tug hill

Can a local maybe give any word on snow cover in upper (not lower) reservoir and head water areas. I saw a packed 3 foot 3 weeks ago when I was there. Is there any left? I can imagine pulaski and most of the region is thawed. Any info on the tug and adirondack head waters would be great...

Hey Dime there was more snow than I thought in the woods on the feeder and where I drove around- some out in the fields too, None of it too deep - maybe around  a foot on the feeder- but not everywhere--kind of spotty depending on which side of the hills and trees your on.
Time tells me that if its that way down below it will be much moreso up on Tug.
Think I know where your going with that-- guess it depends on wether it melts quick or slow.

Would think if this 40 ish day and 20s nights continues it would make for a slow melt as opposed to a quick flooding runoff.
The river was around 750 and only a bit clouded and the feeder was clear as a bell but just a bit lower than I would have liked.
    Water in both felt COLD
