huntingdon area

Hi guys, im working at Southern Huntingdon HIgh School on april 15th. I know that's one day before opening day, so most streams will be closed. Can anyone recommend a stream in the area that will be open to fishing that day? Within a 30 minute drive. Thanks

    Standing Stone Creek. Follows RT 26. Nice stream with bows and browns....WF...My bad, didnt notice the southern part. Never fished much down that way but the southern part of the Aughwick is close and I believe Blacklog Creek..

    Spring Creek if you want to drive to the State College area.

    I was hoping to not have to drive any further north or east-i gotta drive all the way back to Pittsburgh afterwards. Thanks for the responses thus far. If anyone else has any suggestions, Id appreciate it. ill be in three springs, PA.

    Little Juniata River is open year around.

    Though I have never fished it, Trough Creek, south east of Raystown is supposed to be good. Don't think its that far from you. I believe part is stocked and there is a native pop also.....WF
