But the opener is the 16th, there gonna stock the stream the day of the opener??? That doesn't make sense, "usually" stocked waters are stocked prior to the opener. Heres a link from the pfc website concerning opening day: http://www.fishandboat.com/fact_fast_trout.htm

Fishing the stream for about 15 yrs now so yea i know this (It's stocked by a private club) and hey i can understand monies being tight this day & age. But all i'm saying is, is that "typically" stocked trout are stocked usually for the opener in advance of the opener, during the season i can see fish being stocked while the fishermen are standing right there, but on opening day your gonna stock the trout right at peoples feet??? Seems odd to me, i've never heard of this being done for an opener whether it's stocked by the pfbc or a private club. Historically stocking is done AHEAD OF TIME FOR OPENING DAY, i mean i know & realize there nothing but pelletheads being placed for the taking (for most guys but not all of us) but dumping buckets of trout at your feet or in the hole above you on opening day, COME ON, never heard of that one. During the season once it starts is one thing but on opening day, sorry never, ever heard of a place being stocked while the guys are standing there looking at their watches waiting for the clock to strike 8.

Well, if I were in charge, I certainly WOULDNT be stocking it opening day, nor would I publicly announce when I was stocking it. How does it make any sense that you pay money to stock a stream, and then a bunch of people pour in on opening day and fish out your stream?

i see what everyone is saying...if you have the $$ to stock it on the opener why not stock it the week before??

For $15 you can join TCAA. and you will know when and were it's being stocked. No they arn't stocking the first day. Be pro active get involved and join.

easy...i was a original founder of the TCAA, had the water tested to be sure it was safe at my place of employment...held meetings in a friends basement to raise $$ to do alot to that creek...dont ever tell me to be proactive...or act as if i said something wrong...i was simply pointing out what others were saying...and seeing what they ment...
