Earliest bowfishing?

when is the earliest the carp move into the shallows? ive been bow fishing for three summers now but whats the general rule of thumb?

    I have stuck a few already in the Ohio outside Pgh.  There had to be hundreds in the channel already.  That was this past Friday night...I think its a little early, but went down fishing and luckily had the bow and spot light in the truck.

    The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!
