Channel/Bay

I will be staying in Erie for work March 13-16 and again in April 3-6. For my first trip next week, is it worth my while to bring my rod with me?

I am not into creek fishing, although I know I would like it. Just not enough time to do all of my activities.

Anyhow, anyone catching anything in the bay now? or should I just wait until April?

Thanks in advance!

Any day out there with a pole in hand... is better than a day w/out it!! And whether or not you will actually catch something, well you will only find that out if you throw out a bait and wait for a bite! Goodluck!

We're still catching limits of perch through the ice right now. If we don't get rain or high temps by next week the ice will still be fishable. If you have ice fishing gear, bring it. If you're looking for open water it's still a little early.
