Open water fishing ? next ?

There's normally a time between ice fishing and open water fishing. Other than the "Horrors of Linesville" where are you planning to fish open water first? Some like 'Bing' have hit the creeks for Steelhead, but where and what are you targeting? No hot spots need to be given just Where? What? and How? (boat or shore)

cant wait to get the canoe out on misery bay and in the lagoons...gonna be looking for the crappie and perch...if the weather cooperates this all should be happening within 2 weeks

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.

I slammed 25 crappies and 10 giant gills yesterday, only 2 fish came on a jig and wax worms, those little 1 inch gulp minnow are the bomb, even the 8-9 inch gills crushed them. The crappies where not monsters mostly 10 inches and 5 where over 11.
