F.Y.I. - S.R. Latest warning

We presently have a lot of shelf ice forming.
-
Please make sure you know the depth of the water you are walking out onto, shore - shelf ice.
-
I could tell you some life threating "including death" (stories)
-
Go with a close friend and or guide for you own personal safety.

NO Biggy, normally, but watch out for any large ice berges coming your way this weekend.

Normal stuff. But if no one else is postiing this, then Im happy too, if it means you well be safer!

    very good warning randy. when i was up 2 weeks ago there was a thaw and a good amount of shelf and anchor ice dislodged on sunday down in douglaston. defintiely had to keep our eyes open and be very aware of our surroundings. again, good warning randy...
