Sheddin

Took advantage of the melt off and went for a hike this afternoon.... Payed off well with 2 match sets

    I saw 2 small bucks late last night with headgear intact.

    saw 10 deer in the area all together at least 4 were bucks all 10 were bald tho... sheds are real fresh maybe just the last couple days

    I was at MSA last Saturday morning and found two NEW rubs on some small trees that were not here 3 days earlier. But I seen this last couple of years at pretty much the place,well within 300 yards or so. Dave

    Nice find!!

    All of the bucks in my area are still carrying head gear as of now according to our trail cam pics. I am looking forward to getting out and doing some shed hunting.

    Went out today for a 2.5 hr walk.  Still too much snow except under the hemlocks.  Walking wasn't too bad unless I broke through the hard top.  Then it was up over my boots in a lot of places.  Good exercise though.

    im no expert by any means but just by looking at that rack does it look to anyone else that it was an older deer? Just askin. Thanks.

    I guess that depends on the tooth wear.  For the deer I'm used to seeing, that looks like a normal 2.5 yr old 8 pt.  But then again I hunt in the scrub buck capital of PA.

    It suits me fine.  Pretty low pressure during the archery season.  I might be hunting scrub bucks but I don't have to compete much with other hunters to do it.

    Its a young deer 1.5 - 2.5 the rack was a little chewed on but def a young deer. The lake shore produces some beefy deer.
