There most likely are other smaller jams up creek so be careful when you are fishing this time of year. Ice is dangerous.
Also, when these jams clear there are usually some big chunks of ice left along the banks. These may look pretty stable to walk on, but once again be careful. They can shift, break or may hide hollow spots you can fall into and become trapped. I fell through a pile of ice once and darn near broke my leg. Fortunately I could climb out, just bruised.
Enjoy your fishing, but use some common sense. Be aware of your surroundings and be ready to safely get off the water if you have to. I would hate to read about someone getting hurt or killed.

There WERE fish in the shoots too ..... Now there's probably alot of fish patties I doubt very many of the fish in the shoots just stayed there to be ground into fish patties. They most likely swam back downstream into the lake.

I wonder how much of it cleared away? I see on the web cam at the campground the ice jam has cleared already.
