Indian Lake NHT

Has anyone tried icing Indian Lake. How thick is the ice? Used to fish the lake as a kid, but not recently. Stopped by today, and saw a few old holes that were drilled. Thanks

I was always under the impression that nobody was allowed on the ice. I'm not really sure though.

It's out Route 30 in the Irwin area. Great lake to take youngsters to. It has a lot of close parking and a paved track going around the whole lake. It also has a large pavilion area that can be fished from with on site bathrooms.

Decent sized bass and a good chance to catch Trout as well.  I hadn't fished the lake in a while but me and a buddy went in the dead of the middle of summer last year and caught our limit on trout in just a few hours.

That sounds like it might be fun. I know from up in the parking lot you can see plenty of big ones down in the water on a sunny day.

I caught tons of carp there....Peanut butter wheat germ
But the cost is to high useing germ just to mess around...
I am going to try my rice recipe...1 box of minuet rice,1 can cream corn,16oz pineapple juice....
I use a play mate cooler..Heat the corn and juice 3 minn in microwave...mix it with the rice in cooler....Let set 2 to 3 hrs and your ready to fish...
To bait up...use a small bb shot 1 inch from hook...put 1 corn pop on the hook and pack a hand full of rice around the pop and your fishin.....
