January Fishing

I got to fish erie for the fist time last year. We made it up a couple of times and I had a blast fishing and learning how to fish erie. Definately a lot different than fishing the local creeks. I was thinking about coming up this month and I was wondering if it's worth the trip because of the colder weather and all of the ice it sounds like you have to deal with. Can you still get into some fish this time of year?

If the creeks are open then they will fish. And they should fish well.

i think what he is tryin to say is ... erie steel that have been rested for a few days albeit dark older fish will hit pretty good after a break from the constant barrage from the pressure applied to them..... so if you get a chance to go and water conditions are favorable..... with less fishing pressure.... and rested fish= rx for good fishing for steel in the winter months.
