Went out yesteryday afternoon and did pretty good. Caught 2 trout and about two dozen bluegill between the two of us, mostly good sizes. All on grubs and waxies with well charged glow jigs. However, bite didnt start till about 3:30pm and stopped once it got dark. Overall a pretty good day.

What are these glow jigs? I use the standard pan fish jigs, but you seem to be doing good with the glow jigs.

I was not the one in the orange jacket. But glow jigs are jigs that glow in the dark. They usually are painted with a yellowish-white paint. I actually make my own and they work great! If anyone is interested in buying some let me know(they are VERY cheap).

I was there tonight too, caught 2 small gills and had a few bites I saw very little on the sonar.
    I fished until 5:45pm
    Very slow evening.

Fished last nite from 4:30-9pm. One guy had a few gills on the ice @ 20 Ft toward the north end of the lake. Set up in 18ft of water off the cottages, nothing! Moved out to 28 ft, marked bunches of fish @ 10-20ft, no takers! Moved in to 30 ft and still nothing. Felt like I was fishing the dead sea! Tried many different setups from swedish pimps to glow jigs & teardrops tipped w minnows, grubs & waxies. Any advice is appreciated!

If you want to catch panfish you have to get out deep, 40ft has worked for me and find the fish that are suspended at 16-20 ft down, they come and go but i have put 180 blue gill 9-10 inch & 20 9-12 inch perch in the freezer this year. That has been working for me. I have been using waxies & grubs on small jigs #14-12. If you want trout go shallow waxies red jigs & just before dark.

anyone know how the ice is holding up after wed

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.
