1. More launch areas on the three rivers. More specifically on the Mon where Southside is the only Launch between the point and Braddock. 2. No more opening day for trout. make it all year and keep up on the stockings.

put the panfish enhancement program in effect state wide. Close pymi for walleye just like the inland waters for a couple years to maybe help the population. Get rid of the stupid erie stamp.

Look into finding ways to secure more access to rivers and streams, and working with DEP to monitor our waterways in response to the boom in gas drilling.

What Stillhead said !!! The "big bass program " is a joke. On those lakes institute a winter slot limit of a couple fish 12"- 15" & or 1 trophy over 20" or better yet a no kill reg.all together. I tournament fish & I even think they have too many on arthur. But when the local Bass clubs have the noses up the PFBC you know what, that won't happen. Why do you think you never see a citation written for all those guys that have 25-30 hp outboards. It's not that hard to see.

Would like the boat commission to make new boat owner's to take a boating coarse. And learn the boating laws and regs! and maybe have to renew it every five years. Quit stocking trout and put the money into more game fish~~ that actualy put up a fight LOL Stillhead I think all the tournaments are not doing any good to the bass at Arthur either. And as far as the ice fishing, Man the other day I was up the lake and seen some many bass on the ice was quite disturbing to say the least. Dave

Statewide cast net permit, with use everywhere would be nice. Although, I could see this being an issue on trout streams or even collecting panfish and other game fish by poachers. Would be nice to see purebred stripers brought into more lakes. They seem to be able to naturally reproduce in the right conditions. (Arkansas river through Arkansas has proven to hold year round and reproduce - very similar type of river to our 3 rivers with lock and dams and warmer summer temps).

1. The hope that they can find a dedicated funding source (marcellus tax) to be able to address the backlog of dam repairs, accesses, environmental problems, etc. Without clean water areas, it doesn't matter how many fish you raise because there isn't any place to put them. 2. A continued emphasis on habitat that has started recently - what a difference great habitat makes to our fisheries. 3. A year-round trout season with a statewide catch and release regulation from March 1 to May 1. May 1 would then start the "harvest" season.

And, police it all more diligently. I have seen certain people at Twin Lakes in summer with buckets full of small bass. Reported it to the boat shed who called park police and I called Fisheries....stayed all afternoon and there was absolutely NO response from either bureaucracy. The "fishermen" were, to put it delicately, "foreigners" who indicated little understanding of the English language....

ORIGINAL: esbdmb 1. Speed limits on lakes instead of horsepower restrictions. 2. Speed limits on lakes instead of horsepower restrictions. I couldn't agree more. I've read articles about lakes that have speed limits. They use radar just like the police. I have a 40hp so I can't go on 20hp or less lakes and my motor is too small for large bodies of water. Plus, there are plenty of big deep lakes that should have unlimited hp anyway.

Here is another Idea a law stating that canoe's need to stay within 20 yards of shore and not in the middle of a lake.

I could maybe see this regulation on unlimited horsepower lakes. Within so many yards of shore or no wake areas. Canoes should be able to go anywhere on electric only, 10 HP, and 20 HP lakes. I'd like to see the fish and boat comission put together a comprehensive map showing ALL points of public access to water. I understand that the Corps of engineers, the PFBC, the parks website, and a lot of counties and municipalities have online access to the information, but the information is kind of cumbersome.

Get rid of the stupid erie stamp. The natuaral reproduction rate of walleye in PYMY is next to nil. You'll only get larger fish this way. I just like to catch fish, and a lake like Pymy I know anyday of the year i can target walleye. I like this, because catching late season trout isn't my ticket, and bass fishing is for the average 6 figure wallet. It's up to the sportsman to protect this lake, only take what you eat, and hope the next guy does the same.

It would be nice to see more lakes and/or rivers stocked with Striped Bass. Could care less about stocked trout like some others. I use to fish for stocked trout as a kid but now I don't understand the appeal.

There are some good ones posted on here, but here are my top ones. 1. Add a youth fishing license for anyone under 15 years olds $5 per license,no special stamps & a max family license cost of$20 that would cover all children in your immediate family. 2. No closed trout season with more fall stockings, this would eliminate the opening day "Circus" . 3. If a stream has any natural reproduction of wild/native trout, end pre/in season stockings of pellet heads. 4. Add a lifetime license for those that are not senior citizens.

I'll give you one more. How about having a license that expires a year from when you purchase it instead of following the calendar year? It doesn't matter to me so much because I fish throughout the year, but I have had friends that decide to go fishing with me in September or November and then of course their license expires in two or three months. That's a crap load of money to waste on a few hours of fishing, especially in PA. Virginia, for instance, has this type of fishing license.

"4. Add a lifetime license for those that are not senior citizens." I discussed this with the new executive director a few months ago. He said it was "worth consideration". Any license, or fee changes, have to be approved by the legislature though. He also staed that he would NOT pursue the Jr. license. He says he is also looking into other possible funding sources, and the possiblity/feasibilty of a license fee DEcrease.

I'd be perfectly fine with year round stocking (relatively, theres a lot of streams that shouldn't be stocked from may until october, but you know what I mean) of smaller ammounts of fish. I doubt most people would go for it. They want lakes/streams CRAMMED with fish for the first two weeks, then who cares.
