Huntress, Know any?

How many guys have their partner join them on a hunt or have their partner hunt on their own. How many like seeing women hunt? What can you do to get women interested in hunting?

GOOD LUCK!! If it doesn't involve spending money OR shopping you can't compete. Kind of like kids and video games.

She's itchin to get back out next year.
Watched a skunk chase her through the woods squirrel hunting. LMAO.
    Doesn't like bunny huntin' though.
As for what we can do to get them interested in hunting....

My wife hunts deer with me a day or two every year.

Before a knee injury she not only hunted birds over the Pointers, but she aided in the training of them and has placed in bird dog competitions with them.

Don't know any yet, but the fiance says she wants to try deer hunting next year. I don't think she has the patientce or the attention span to be honest, but maybe hunting will be the exception.

My wife used to hunt with me before kids. She's hunted small game with me many years ago, and has gone on several deer hunts with me just to sit.

She was with me when I killed my only archery buck back in '96. At the time, she was in college as a biology major, and was fascinated with the gutting part. She identified every last structure and muscle in that deer.

When we were in NC while she working on her masters in physical therapy, I shot 2 does on the last evening of the gun season, right before dark. It was the night before she had to present and defend her master's thesis. I had neglected to bring a knife, a rope or gloves, so I called her and she not only brought it all to me, but she dragged one of the does out of the woods.

She would sit with me during gun season when we lived in Kentucky. She always saw the deer before I did and was much more patient sitting in the woods than I ever was.

Our kids are now 9, 7 and 8 months, so one of these days a few years down the road, I hope we'll all be out in the woods together.

My wife hunted before the kids. Say's she'll freeze for a deer any time, but not for a stupid fish.

i hate tiffany. shes a female dog for sure. i dont watch her on tv anymore, the show sickens me worse then the drury brothers.
i know a few females that hunt though...one always want me to take her to "my spot"..now take that as it may...maybe i shoulda lol ....but there again soon after i didnt, she got married...

Other than that it's kinda weird seeing a female in my domain. so im not totally for it.   -unless they want to show me there spot.........LOL wow......

I am very happy to share my hunting seasons with my wife. Her father and brother hunt and when we were dating she got interested in going out. Her love of hunting has kept growing. So come archery and spring turkey season thats her favorite place to be, is outdoors. She with out a doubt puts more time in the stand (archery) than i do. I enjoy listing to her hunting stories, sharing info. It is awesome to have a person you can share this stuff with that you do not feel your in direct competition with.

Her buck from last archery season

Her turkey from this past spring

Wife went a few times with me. She'd rather do other things. More of a fisherman than hunter.

Out west, MANY ladies are in the field. They hold their own too. gut'n, skinning, butchering etc... It is nice to see.

Really don't want my wife in the woods with a gun while I'm out there...

Seriously though, my son wanted to pick his own stand this year but didn't want our old stand to be empty so he talked his mom into sitting with him so I could hunt our other stand. He shot a nice spike about 7:45am so she didn't have to sit long. Attention span isn't her strong point and she doesn't do well with blood. She said she did fine until he held the heart up to her and said "Look at the hole in this?"

I would love it if she would get involved in hunting and fishing and enjoy it but I don't see that happening anymore than me really enjoying shopping...
