Learning Spey/Salmon Flies

Been trying to learn some of the classic salmon and spey fly pattern for about a year now and can't do too good with them. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good book to help learn these patterns from the basics. I'm decent at tying some dry flies, streamers, minnow patterns and eggs, but these flies elude my ability thus far.
Thanks

These are a few I looked at on Amazon:

Twenty Salmon Flies: Tying Techniques for Mastering the Classic Patterns from the Simplest to the Most Complex [With DVD]

Tying the Classic Salmon Fly: A Modern Approach to Traditional Techniques

Spey Flies and Dee Flies: Their History & Construction [Paperback]

    DJ,

I have attempted to research the same subject my self, and thus far have not fully delved into this skilled area of tying but, the book that I do have and recommend for what it's worth....because I have little experience, Is Steelhead Fly Tying Guide by H. Kent Helvie, many pictures and patterns and detailed step by step instructions and not expensive.....hope this helps!

For the classics - cannot go wrong with Reidenbach's book - "Twenty Salmon Flies" Fantastic tutes and explanations.

Shewwys books are good as well as "Spey Flies, How to Tie Them," by Bob Veverka. He gets into the materials a bit more than Shewey.

Salmon Flies by Jorgenson is a great book. Has a lot of neat little tricks and ideas, as well as a VERY solid explanation of the standard techniques, and a good selection of recipes.

Although Poul's book is a Classic(I own a signed copy) some of his techniques are quite different from the more recent Classic's. There are a couple of videos that Poul made, named Poul Jorgensen on Salmon Flies called Deadly Patterns, and Full Dressed Feather Wings.
By far the most informative books on Classic's are Radenchich's books, there are three
Tying The Classic Salmon Fly: Classic Salmon Fly Materials; and Twenty Salmon Flies(DVD included). As others have stated Shewy and Veverka are great additions and adress more of a fishing fly.Veverka has two that are great, one salt water and one Spey Flies And How To Tie Them, Shewy's Spey Flies And Dee Flies.
Good luck, you have now entered the Dark Side. Heres one for you to think about
