Early ice?!?

Me thinks we're going to have an early ice fishing season this year! Time to get the gear ready!!!!!

    Drove over Wilhelm on '79 Wednesday, headed for my daughters birth...
    only to look across the lake to see it was already locked up.
    My smile grew even wider.
    Snapped this pic this morning at the dam end, won't be long by the looks of the forecast.
    Just hope we don't get too much snow on top.

    Edinboro froze over on Wednesday. Thick enough to hold a flock of crows but that is it for now.

    Lake Pleasant is froze over don't know how thick the ice is but there is no open water!!!!!!!!!

    just got my clam ready and everything packed, Erie might take a few weeks though. Can't wait to get some pike and chrome threw the ice!

    word I heard, from a buddy of Steel Junkie's, was he was on Sugar Saturday checking his rat traps.
    He was a thin fella though, I need a couple more inches myself.
    I probably won't be able to make it down 'til the weekend, but it was mighty cold & windy this morning.

    Drove past Keystone Power Dam near Elderton on Monday...still 95% open, just the top end at the edges had ice!
