Steelhead on the rocks

I love fish porn as much as anybody. I cant understand why people take these fish and lay them on the rocks or mud to take a pic of a fish. You can take pics without bringing the fish to the rocks. I have too much respect for them to do that. Regardless of them being hatchery mutts. Jus sayin

Although that reminds me... I once hooked a fish that as soon as I set the hook, the fish jumped out of the water... flew between my legs... and beached itself on the rocks... took me 1.4 seconds to hook and land the fish,

Haha I wanted to put him back in the water and let him fight a little bit, but figured he had done enough alrdy :-D

If you don't bash them on the head first they flop out of your hands during the hero photo.

The poster formally known as Duncsdad

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Well if we can't put them on the rocks can we put the rocks on them? I think that would take a nice picture and help tenderize the meat.

how does catching an average sized fish warrant a pic anyhow? A hero shot of an average fish? That is about I all I see here. Oh, wait...I remember now...I did that in my 1st year of steelheading. Take pictures of every fish. Yeah, that must be it.
