Pymy open water?

Would like to get the boat out one last time.  Anyone been around the lake lately?  and can you still get a boat in?  Thanks in advance for any info.

south end is locked up also.  it shouldn't be long now especially with the slight (37deg for a day) warm up then back down into the low 20's for highs and low teens for low's!!!

Also, anyone willing to show me some tricks for fishing through the ice, and wanting some company, I would appreciate it.  I have fished it a few times and never did any good.  My family has had a camp up here for 25+years, but I just recently moved up here permanently (going to school at thiel living in espyville) so I will be able to fish a lot over break.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys for the invites.  I am really looking forward to finally catching something through the ice up here. I just enjoy getting out, but catching will definitely make it that much better...My girl friend will also be joining me on most of my fishing trips, she yells I don't take her enough...

I have tip-ups, rods and a lot of panfish jigs what else would I need?  thanks for the info!!!

I can't wait to get out on the ice again...

It was 6 degrees here in DuBois with a -15 windchill. I bet the lake is totally covered with a skim of ice now. It won't be long now guys.

I would only go out a few feet, that way if you bust through you only get wet up to your knees. I think I would wait a few more days before testing it.

Im still dry. 3 inches of cloudy ice that held all 260 of me jumping and pounding with the bar to open a hole and check, auger is in pittsburgh. Slush and snow along the shorelines but wasn't too bad after about 10 yards or so. People will be out this weekend

4 in. in the bare spots , there is a ice slush layer above the 3in of solid ice where the snow is setting , so step lively or don't step at all
